About Lucy

Why did you choose this program?

I love plants and this is one of the best botany programs in the country.

How did this program prepare you for your job?

It gave me a very strong background in botany and opened incredible doors of opportunity for me.

What did you enjoy most about the program?

My outstanding professors.

What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?

If you want a degree in botany, there is no superior program. The North Coast is an amazing place to study plants—you have the kelp forests of the Pacific Ocean, the temperate rainforest with its tall trees, and the Klamath Mountains with the highest diversity of conifers on the planet. This region is a botanist's dream and the community and professors are top-notch.
