About Logan
Why did you choose this program?
My freshman year, I was a broadcast Journalism major and I was not feeling connected to the program. So my second year I registered for several intro courses to find what I connected with the most. I took Criminology 125 with Meredith Williams and instantly fell in love with the program. The subject matter was just something I understood.
How did this program prepare you for your job?
I felt as though the program specifically helped me with my communication. As a majority of my classes were Sociology, I felt as though all of those classes helped me understand the processes that people go through. This would go on to help me effectively communicate with my colleagues and clients that I work with on a day-to-day basis.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
The professors. I loved being in a smaller program because I felt so connected and heard by each professor I had which made me enjoy the program even more.
What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?
Do it! Everything I learned I still talk about and use to this day. Whether it was from a criminology course or a sociology course, everything was useful and overall made my Humboldt State experience more enjoyable.
