About Kaitlyn
How did this program prepare you for your job?
One of the best aspects of HSU's fisheries biology program is its hands-on teaching style. The importance the professors put on applied science was a huge advantage when applying and starting graduate school.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
The small class sizes and the professors were my favorite part of the program. Each professor does a wonderful job at teaching their particular subjects. I also loved the large selection of classes. This enables students to explore all the aspects of fisheries science and better prepare for jobs following college.
What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?
I can not commend the HSU fisheries biology program enough for how it shaped my future. Without this program and the fisheries faculty, I would not be where I am today. If you are willing to put in the effort this is one of the most rewarding majors.
