Employer: Bureau of Land Management

Job description: As a federal wildlife biologist for the Bureau of Land Management, I work to promote the conservation of threatened and endangered animals, sensitive species, and habitat connectivity. Much of my work involves habitat restoration and monitoring of wildlife resources. My role is to facilitate partnerships, conduct environmental review, oversee federal grants and contracts, and conduct inventories as it relates to wildlife on public lands. I love my job because it allows me to work with unique species native to the North Coast including Western Snowy Plover, Northern Spotted Owl, Marbled Murrelet, Roosevelt elk, and Northern elephant seals.
