Job description: I teach Dual Immersion Spanish, Spanish Literature 2-3, Heritage Spanish, and IB Spanish Language & Literature. I plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instruction, providing materials that facilitate active learning; I monitor student progress and adapt course content delivery methods in order to meet the needs of individual students; I instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials, technologies, and equipment to support instruction.

Why did you choose this program?
I wanted to learn history, culture, and literature and my program at HSU combined all of these.
How did this program prepare you for your job?
The Spanish and International Studies programs at HSU exposed me to interesting new topics that I researched while I was at graduate school. In addition, many of the classes in the Spanish program prepared me for my teaching career.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
My professors and my classmates. I am very thankful for all of my Spanish teachers.
What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?
Humboldt State is a very special and unique place. The Spanish/International Studies programs will prepare you for your career and you will have the opportunity to have learned from amazing, talented professors that care about you.
