About Jack
Why did you choose this program?
I chose this program because I wanted something with small class sizes, no commute time, and direct professor access on the regular.
How did this program prepare you for your job?
A lot of deep diving into structural information -- the degree helped me with the meat of my job, which is understanding data structures and algorithms.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
I enjoyed the challenge in the program itself -- specifically from Adam Carter's classes. It's hard, and that's kind of great.
What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?
Stay with it. Most people drop this program, thinking maybe they don't get it fast enough. But the only metric to worry about is if you have a passion for it. Do you like doing it? If that's a yes, stay in the program, even if it takes five years instead of four. It's worth it.
