Job description: Plan 35-40 backcountry trips and teen leadership every summer for youth ages 13-17 and hire staff to lead said trips
Educate staff and campers on Leave No Trace Principles
Acquire and renew special use permits from various national forests and parks in Colorado and Wyoming
Paint myself yellow and let kids chase me around as “the Golden Snitch”
Since 1908, Camp Chief Ouray has been the overnight camp of choice in Colorado for Front Range kids ages 7 to 17. Our goal is to offer challenging experiences to build leaders through life-long skill development in a safe, imaginative, natural setting. We instill confidence through independence and interpersonal skills. We challenge our campers to discover their true selves.
