About Hilde
Why did you choose this program?
I'm from Norway and wanted to experience something new, wanted to go to California and ended up at HSU kind of as a happy coincidence.
How did this program prepare you for your job?
This program prepared me well for the master's program in nanotechnology I ended up doing right after at KTH in Stockholm, Sweden. Having a base of theory in physics has served me well in both the courses for my MSc and in my job.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
I enjoyed the fact that it's such a small department. You gain a more personal relationship with all your professors and classmates. The fact that I was able to participate in the research in the gravity lab for a few years was also both fun and great on my master's applications and resume.
