About Connor
Why did you choose this program?
I came to the Journalism program for KRFH, but stayed for the amazing faculty.
How did this program prepare you for your job?
The Journalism program at HSU prepared me for life as an attorney because it taught me how to tell a good story. It improved my writing, made me more comfortable with public speaking, and I use interview techniques I picked up in JMC courses to this day.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
The student-led programs! (KRFH, The Lumberjack, Osprey Magazine.)
What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?
Apply! Even if you don't see yourself becoming a reporter, the JMC program teaches you skills that will benefit you in almost any job you might find yourself in. Also, Bret Harte House always has good company and good snacks.
