Quantifying Pacific Lamprey (Entosphenous tridentus) ammocoete habitat availability and risk associated with the summer hydrograph recession limb in Coastal Northern California

Katrina’s graduate research focused on Pacific Lamprey ammocoete habitat. Ammocoetes are a relatively immobile life stage and live in highly mobile silt deposits in the river for 3-10 years. She examined where in a watershed ammocoete habitat is found and how the ammocoete habitat diminishes with the summer streamflow recession curve. The research can guide stream restoration as well as streamflow management.
