Alyssa Hughlett

Graduate Programs Coordinator & Administrative Analyst

Alyssa Hughlett brings a rich and varied background in administration, education, and the arts to her role as the Graduate Program Administrative Analyst & Specialist for the College of Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences at Cal Poly Humboldt. From November 2021 to July 2023, she served as CEO and President of Dell’Arte International, where she fostered collaborative teams, implemented strategic plans, and ensured operational activity through a transitional recovery period following the COVID-19 pandemic. As the Managing Director from February 2020 to November 2021, Alyssa guided the nearly 50-year old performing arts organization by securing essential grant funding and managing both the facilities, finances, and school's accreditation. Her experience as Executive School Administrator from August 2018 to February 2020 focused on school operations, enrollment management and recruitment, and managing the school's accreditation and membership with the National Association of Schools of Theatre. Alyssa also served as Registrar & School Administrator, including handling international student affairs and Title IX coordination. She maintained a full time faculty teaching load in Dell'Arte's MFA in Ensemble based Physical Theatre Program, Advanced Ensemble Program, and Professional Training Program and performed in the Baduwa't (Mad River) Festival. She is an active theater producer, creator, and performer with Papaya Lounge Productions and Longshadr Productions, and a volunteer Board Member of the Blue Lake Education Foundation.
