Why did you choose this program?
Humboldt is a very lovely place and I wanted to do my undergraduate degree there because of it. I got into Chemistry before transferring to CalPoly Humboldt. I knew I would get individualized attention in the Humboldt Chemistry Department.
How did this program prepare you for your job?
I was ready for graduate school at a top program when I left CalPoly Humboldt. The teaching and research skills helped me succeed in my PhD.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
The Redwoods behind campus we a great place to relax after a long day of classes. Nothing beats the scenery surrounding the university. I was able to conduct research in small groups giving me perspective I would not have otherwise.
What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?
Enjoy your time in Humboldt, there are so many beautiful things to see. Reach out to you seniors for perspective and pro-tips. Share your knowledge with your fellow classmates.
