What's in a Phish?

January 26, 2018

Phishing attacks are common, highly sophisticated, and all-too-often successful. To help everyone on campus protect their own information and the University information to which they have access, campus information security has added a new tool to the HSU data protection arsenal.

This new tool, called PhishMe, will periodically send messages out via the campus email system that look real enough for you to check them out. When/if you click on a link in the email (the "phishing lure"), you'll be shown information explaining how phishing attempts try to fool you.

Please take the time to read and absorb this information - so next time you'll be more likely to resist the urge to click.
