Hello!The Marine Science Student Association is holding its Second Annual student research symposium on Saturday, May 7 from 12-5 at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center in Eureka. The goal of the symposium is to showcase marine-related research across disciplines, and provide a venue for students to practice giving scientific talks. Entrance to the event is restricted to students to facilitate a low-pressure atmosphere and encourage communication about the research between students, making it a very comfortable place for a student to give their first conference-style talk, or present on new/in-progress work. The event is free and there will be food provided.Abstracts for 12 minute talks or posters are due by 11:59PM on Tuesday, April 26th. There is time for about a dozen talks, and strong preference will be given to early submissions.
