For the past two decades Dr. Horne has been examining the role of the  school and family for establishing, maintaining, and reducing aggression and violence in children and adolescents. In particular, he has investigated the e ect of targeted interventions for high-rate aggression students in elementary and middle schools, attempting to understand program elements that impact risk and protective factors for bullying.
