Hi All,

I hope that everyone's Fall is off to a great start. We have our first cancellation this semester for EcoSeries. Derek's talk next week (October 1st) will not be taking place, and instead we will be having a closed session for graduate students and faculty. I hope we will be rescheduling Derek's talk for the near future, so stay tuned. There is a new flyer attached with the updated EcoSeries schedule.

EcoSeries talks will resume the following week (Thursday October 8th @ 4PM, WFB 258) with a presentation from Dr. Steve Railsback. Dr. Railsback is an adjunct professor with the HSU Department of Mathematics and a consultant with Lang Railsback & Associates. He will be presenting "'Pattern-oriented modeling' for design and validation of individual-based wildlife models: the Jamaica coffee farm example," work that he has done in collaboration with our department's Dr. Matt Johnson.
