Strategic Plan Workshop: Thank You for Your Ideas

February 20, 2015
The following message was provided by the Office of the President:
Dear University Colleagues,
Last Friday, more than 300 students, staff, faculty, and community members gathered to weigh in about, and help plan, HSU’s future. The strategic planning workshop was an historic event, with the University coming together to share and document the collective wisdom of our diverse campus community. Thank you to all of those who gave so generously of your time to share your insights, perspectives, and experiences. Thanks to the table hosts and graphic recorders, your ideas were recorded and will be shared with the task forces and steering committee as they develop the University’s strategic plan.
We anticipate that a draft version of the new strategic plan will be shared with the campus community and the University Senate near the end of March, with the goal of having the plan in place in time to inform our budget decisions for the upcoming academic year. There will be additional opportunities to weigh in on the draft strategic plan next month, and we look forward to continuing to hear from all members of the university community as the planning process moves forward.
Updated information about the planning process is available on the Strategic Planning website.
Once again, thank you for your ongoing engagement in the strategic planning process, and for your dedicated service and commitment to Humboldt State!
Sincerely,
Lisa A. Rossbacher, Ph.D., President
Noah Zerbe, Ph.D., Chair, University Senate and Chair, Department of Politics
Co-Chairs, HSU Strategic Planning Steering Committee
