POWER REDUCTION CONTINUES

July 28, 2016

Dear Campus Community,

Due to the warm weather throughout California, PG&E has requested the campus temporarily reduce the use of electricity.  To adhere to this request, our building service engineers will be reducing building ventilation fan speeds and lighting at various locations on campus between 3:00pm and 7:00pm today, July 28, 2016.  As a result, building occupants may notice reduced airflow circulation this afternoon.

We apologize for any inconvenience and request you assist the University in meeting this demand response reduction by also turning off non-essential computers, equipment, and lights.  Everything you can do to help the University meet its reduction requirements will be greatly appreciated.

We anticipate the electricity use requirements will be at normal levels tomorrow, July 29, but there is a warning reductions may continue if the warm weather inland continues.  Questions or concerns regarding the electrical reduction requirements noted above should be directed to Facilities Management Customer Service Center at 826-4475.

Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.
