Humboldt State University will be taking part in the Great Colleges to Work For program, a national survey designed to inform institutions about their work culture and recognize those that have built great workplaces. Regardless of whether we are recognized, the data will be helpful as we continue efforts to create the best workplace possible.

On March 25, the survey will be distributed to a sampling of HSU employees and HSU auxiliaries. You will receive an invitation with details about the program and how to access the survey, which will be sent to you by email from Great Colleges.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey, as this is a chance to make your voice heard. A high response rate is needed to ensure an accurate representation of our community, and so HSU is trying to achieve 40 percent participation.

After the survey is completed and the data compiled, HSU will receive topline reports that summarize the organizational competencies and relationships that most directly impact and influence our culture. These reports will give HSU a better idea about strengths that should be celebrated as well as weaknesses that need addressed.

The results of the survey should be particularly valuable to the new HSU President, who is expected to be appointed in time to begin this summer.

This survey is voluntary and completely confidential; HSU will not be able to trace results back to individuals. Your survey will be processed by ModernThink LLC, an independent management consulting firm focusing on workplace quality in higher education.
