PeopleTools, the foundation on which PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) and other PeopleSoft applications are built, will be upgraded this weekend. Starting at 5pm on Friday January 10th, PeopleSoft HCM, Student Center, and Faculty Center will be unavailable while the underlying PeopleTools upgrade is applied. PeopleSoft Finance (CFS) will receive its PeopleTools upgrade in April 2014.

This upgrade primarily provides a platform on which to build future new PeopleSoft functionality, but one change that everyone will see right away is a brand-new user interface design. When you access PeopleSoft HCM or Faculty Center on Monday January 13th, you'll see a sleeker and more streamlined interface – check out http://www.humboldt.edu/its/PeopleTools-853-upgrade for a sneak peek. There's no change in functionality, but the experience will be easier and more intuitive than it is today.
