The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences presents the New Faculty Brown Bag Series. This series features research and creative activity of our newsest colleagues. Please bring a lunch and join us to learn more about the great scholarship in the college.

Michihiro Clark Sugata, Assistant Professor of Criminology & Justice Studies, will share his research on tracing the overlap between different spheres of violence. He will discuss his research on financial violence and how he believes it can be merged into the field of intimate partner violence. He will discuss the importance of working across multiple disciplinary terrains in order to develop more comprehensive understandings of violence in our communities, but also share some of the struggles that can come with doing this.
