Nationally-Ranked Football Remains No. 2 in Super Region Three Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS –
 For the second consecutive week, the nationally-ranked Humboldt State football program was No. 2 in the NCAA Division II Super Region Three rankings.

HSU shut out visiting Simon Fraser 57-0 on Senior Day Saturday. The win improved the Lumberjacks' overall record to 7-1 and 7-0 in region play. The top four seeds in the final regional rankings will have the opportunity to host a playoff game, and the top seed will have a bye in the first round of playoff action.

Saturday's win helped the Jacks move up two places to No. 13 in the weekly American Football Coaches Association top 25 poll. HSU also came in at No. 14 in the D2Football.com top 25 rankings.

The Green and Gold visit Dixie State Saturday, Nov. 7, with an opportunity to secure an outright Great Northwest Athletic Conference championship. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. PT.
