Mathematics Colloquium ~ October 16

October 14, 2014

Hello, Math Students and all interested parties:

Please join us for the weekly Mathematics Colloquium, October 16, 2014 at 4 p.m. in BSS 204. This week's speaker is Adamou Fodé Madé , Ph. D. Visiting Faculty, Department of Mathematics, HSU, to discuss "Why Does Calculus Matter?"

In this talk we will make a quick excursion into simple ordinary differential equations (ODE) and integration by parts. Afterward, we will solve a hyperbolic equation using one of the latest tools available in partial differential equations (PDE) - the Discontinuous Galerkin method in conjunction with the Runge-Kutta scheme of order 4.

Don't forget coffee, tea and goodies at the Pre-Colloquium Tea at 3:30 in the 3rd Floor Open Area in the BSS building.
