What is the role of formative assessment in mathematics education?
"Through formative assessment, students develop a clear understanding of learning targets and receive feedback that helps them to improve." (Formative Assessment – NCTM position July 2013)
Formative assessment can also be made fun! We will explore several formative assessments using games and popular TV shows.
Don't forget coffee, tea and goodies at the Pre-Colloquium Tea at 3:30 in the 3rd Floor Open Area in the BSS building.
