Jump In for Success: Getting into Research Early

Dear Colleagues,
Dr. Amy Sprowles and I would like your help in promoting our workshop on Friday Sept. 19th., "Jump In for Success: Getting into Research Early".   Intended for freshmen,sophomore and new transfer students in STEM majors, the purpose of this event is inspire these students to include undergraduate research in their future academic plans.  
 
Our sessions include presentations by Dr. Jeanne Narum, (Washington D.C., Learning Spaces Collaboratory and Project Kaleidoscope), Dr. Jacquelyn Bolman (HSU STEM Center, INRSEP and SACNAS), and a networking lunch. We are thrilled to offer such an exciting program thanks to funding through the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, The Office of Research, Economic and Community Development, and the College of Natural Resources and Sciences.  A complete agenda is attached to this email.
 
The workshop is limited to ~50 participants (freshmen priority), and runs from 11 am -3:40 on Friday Sept. 19th.  Please encourage your freshmen student to sign up at the following link  https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7G5LB2H.  Fliers are also attached.
