Join the Campus Emergency Response Team!

Join HSU's Campus Emergency Response Team! CERT members learn a variety of disaster response and survival skills, that include, but are not limited to:

Executing light search and rescue; extrication of trapped persons
Providing medical first aid and triage of the injured
Preventing and suppressing incipient fires
Supporting other emergency field operations

CERT members help support and augment first responders during disasters, whether here on campus or in their own neighborhood. This FREE training is available to all students, staff and faculty. 

This training will take place over 3 days: 

Friday, February 3rd from 1:00 to 5:00 in the MWCC classroom
Saturday, February 4th from 8:30 to 4:00 in SBS 179
Sunday, February 5th from 8:30 to 3:00 in SBS 179

Participants will receive a CERT certification and a CERT backpack, with emergency response supplies, courtesy of CalVolunteers.
