Celene Lopez, a CHECK IT peer educator, was awarded the prestigious “It’s on Us Champion of Change” White House Award for her work with CHECK IT. Only 9 other college students were selected for this award. Celene will be honored at an event at the White House on April 14. She will have the opportunity to speak on a panel about the violence prevention and student organizing work happening at HSU!
