Meet the panelists:

David Ware- Attorney at law, Ware Immigration, Seattle (Immigration law)
Mr. Ware has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association since 1983. He is a recognized leader among immigration attorneys in practice areas of interest to higher education and business immigration, and he has for many years served as a mentor in these areas for other immigration attorneys through the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Mentorship Program. Ware Immigration has offices in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Washington.

Gregory Holtz-Staff Attorney, Legal Services of Northern California, Eureka (Immigrant housing rights)
LSNC is a non-profit, Legal Services Corporation-funded law firm with the mission to empower the poor to identify and defeat the causes of poverty in their communities. Mr. Holtz has been with LSNC for 4 years, starting in the Shasta Regional Office before transferring to the Redwood Regional Office in 2015. He works primarily on housing, benefits, and education issues. Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Holtz taught 8th-grade English in Oakland, California for five years through the Teach for America program.

Geo-Yao Liu- Director, HSU Center for International Programs (International travel)
Mr. Liu has had 20 years of experience in the field of International Education in higher education, both at 2-year and 4-year institutions, including international student/scholar services, international recruitment, admissions, credential evaluation, study abroad, ESL teaching and program supervising, and international outreach/partnerships. He has also worked, resided, and traveled internationally.

Donn Peterson, Chief of Police Humboldt State University (CSU policy)
Chief Peterson joined the Humboldt State University Police Department (UPD) in January 2015. Prior to joining UPD, he completed almost 30 years with the Broward Sheriff's Office in South Florida. Chief Peterson has served in a number of executive-level leadership positions, including those responsible for county and domestic security, countywide school and support services, countywide regional support services, contract administration, and command of Broward County's Central Patrol Region.
