Fisheries Biology Seminar: Dr. Fred Allendorf - March 7th

Hi All,
I am pleased to announce that Fred Allendorf will serve as our Fisheries Distinguished Speaker this spring semester.   Dr. Allendorf is Regents Professor of Biology Emeritus, University of Montana.  Professor Allendorf is one of the founders of the field of conservation genetics, and is co-author of the textbook "Conservation and the Genetics of Populations".  In 2015 he was winner of the Molecular Ecology Prize, which recognizes those that have made significant contributions to the field of molecular ecology.
Dr. Allendorf will be speaking on the HSU campus Wednesday 7 March at 5:00 in SCIB 133.  The title of his talk is: Conservation genomics: Do we really need theory?
Additionally, Dr. Allendorf is scheduled to talk at the Sequoia Park Zoo T 6 March at 7:00: Zen & deep evolution: The optical delusion of separation.
