Field Trip Process Improvements

Starting with Fall 2015 field trips, scheduling will go even more smoothly with the inclusion of the new Field Trip date entry page. This addition means that:

  • There will no longer be any need to fax field trip rosters to the University Police Department – all field trip information will automatically be available to them
  • UPD gets a new view that displays class rosters by field trip date (previously CRN), making it easier to respond in an emergency situation

How does it work?

  • Create the field trip in the usual way
  • After the Checklist Details page, select Field Trip Date Entry
  • Search by CRN and enter the date(s) of the field trip

This will ensure that UPD receives email notification of field trips taking place each week, removing the need to remember to send a fax each time.
