FALL 2016 ITS PROJECT PRIORITIZATION CYCLE NOW OPEN

September 19, 2016

The window for submitting ITS project proposals is now open. Please submit your proposals for ITS projects to be implemented in 2017 by 8am on Monday October 3, 2016; no submissions will be accepted after that date.

As a reminder, ITS Project Prioritization is for projects that will require more than 20 hours of ITS time and the efforts of two or more ITS staff. Detailed information about how to submit a proposal, along with a full description of the process and links to the proposal submission forms, can be found on the ITS Project Office website. You can also review existing projects by clicking on individual links in the project portfolio.

Don't forget that in this cycle, with the exception of Chancellor’s Office or legally mandated projects, proposals must demonstrate a direct contribution to student success in alignment with HSU’s Strategic Goals, re-affirmation of HSU’s WASC accreditation, and the Graduation Initiative 2025 to be considered in this cycle. As you prepare your request, please document in detail how your proposal will positively impact student success, citing literature or previous experience, and how that success can be measured.

We're also asking you to choose one of the following four umbrella categories for each proposal you submit (you'll find more detailed descriptions of each category on the request form):

  • Academic Technology
  • Student Services
  • Business Services
  • Infrastructure & Information Security

The results of the Fall 2016 prioritization cycle will be announced before the end of this semester, and approved projects will start in January 2017, subject to resource availability.

Feel free to contact the ITS Project Office with any questions or concerns.
