Beginning on  January 6th thru a projected completion date  of January 22nd, the Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District, City of Eureka, Arcata and their contractor ( Mercer Frasier) will be installing an interconnection of water lines. This project will provide an additional  source of water for the City of  Arcata and the University which would  otherwise only serve the Eureka area.  The location of this scope of work is on 14th street east of LK Wood Boulevard on the southern edge of campus.  The work will be performed from 7:30 thru 4:30 daily with vehicle traffic limited to one lane and controlled by flaggers. Pedestrian routes will also be established.  Please expect flaggers and delays in this location throughout the project and use alternate access routes if possible. Disruption of University utilities is not anticipated throughout the project.
