Bringing Eagles Home: The Effort to Restore Bald Eagles to the Channel Islands

Wednesday, December 11 at 7 p.m.

When Bald eagles were extirpated from the Channel islands from the DDT pesticide in the environment, biologist Dave Garcelon lead the effort to rear and release young  eaglets back into their home using artificial nest platforms.

Join us and trace the 30+ year history that lead to the successful reestablishment of Bald eagles on the Channel Islands.

A reception will be held a half hour before each lecture in the Zoo classroom. All talks are free to attend.
