Hello Everyone and Welcome Back.  As part of our ongoing conversation about making classrooms more inclusive for our students, the fall 2015 AHSS College Meeting for all staff and faculty will be a workshop featuring actors from Dell’ Arte presenting three scenes in a “Theater of the Oppressed” format portraying different aspects of unconscious bias in the classroom and workplace.  This presentation promises to be both highly interactive and engaging and is designed to inspire reflection, spark conversations, and give insights that we can apply to our classrooms and workplaces.  There will be refreshments outside TA 115 beginning at 10:00.  Our new Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Theodora J. Kalikow, will talk to us beginning at 10:30 with the workshop beginning at 10:45. 

We are committed to creating a safe learning environment for our students and encourage ALL CAHSS faculty and staff to attend this very important start to our new academic year.  When everyone participates in learning how to better support our students, we have a much greater ability to enact positive change as a cohesive community.
