Changes in Facilities Management Services

As planned, starting July 1st Facilities Management has begun implementation of the next part of the Phase One budget reductions for our area:

1. Elimination of on-campus Enterprise Rental reservations and pick up/drop-off. You should now make your rental car arrangements directly with Enterprise. For additional information and travel policies and procedures visit the Contracts and Procurement website here.

2. Reduction of campus mail service. Delivery and pick up of mail services to most campus offices will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For HR, Payroll and other critical business function offices, mail services will continue daily. For urgent mail delivery you can drop your mail in the USPS mailbox located outside of the Student Business Service Building, or drop it off at Distribution Services directly.

The already scheduled mail service change has been further compounded due to a change in delivery schedule by the Arcata Post Office, which has reduced mail delivery service to campus to once per day in the afternoon. Our previous delivery was twice per day, once in the morning and once midday, which allowed us to offer same day service to campus. This change in delivery schedule will also affect the timing of our delivery to the campus, and we request your patience while we discuss the impact of this change with the Post Master.
