Change in Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Requirements

January 17, 2018

The Chancellor's Office has revised Executive Order 1083 (Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect) to identify specific groups of employees as Mandated Reporters of child abuse.  This change supersedes the previous policy that designated all CSU employees as Mandated Reporters, and requires employees to acknowledge their reporting status as a condition of continuing employment.

Human Resources is working with Information Technology Services to complete the notification and acknowledgment process electronically.  Within the next several weeks, campus employees will receive a reporting status notification email containing a link to the acknowledgment form required for their position and instructions on how to complete this requirement.
