Canvas LMS Pilot Extended to end of Summer 2016 Session

February 25, 2016

As you are aware, HSU is currently exploring the Canvas learning management system (LMS) with a pilot group of 45 faculty and 76 courses. After receiving feedback and data from the pilot study, the Provost will make a final decision by May 31, 2016 on whether or not the campus moves to the Canvas LMS.

To facilitate class/course preparations faculty may wish to make for summer, the Canvas pilot will be extended and will remain open (and usable) for the Summer 2016 session. If you are interested in using Canvas this summer, please submit your name and course information to: Daniel.Fiore@humboldt.edu

Please be aware that if the Provost's decision is to continue with the Moodle LMSthen all Canvas courses will need to be moved back to Moodle before the beginning of Fall 2016.  You can obtain more information on the Canvas pilot evaluation at: www.humboldt.edu/lms.
