HSU’s Canvas Team is pleased to invite staff and faculty to attend the launch event for Canvas on campus at noon on Wednesday, October 12 in the Great Hall at College Creek:

Noon: Doors open. Buffet-style food and drink will be available, so use this time to mingle with your colleagues and get settled in.

12:15 pm: Welcome from Provost Enyedi.

12:20 pm: Amy Rock, lecturer in Environmental Science & Management and Geography, will present Canvas demos of their courses; we are hoping to add 1 or more additional demos.

12:35 pm: Kim Vincent-Layton, Interim Director of Academic Technology, will present training opportunities that will enable faculty to get their first hands-on experience with a Canvas course.

12:45 pm: Jeanne Wielgus, Director of User Support Services, will discuss support, maintenance, and how the campus can work with Instructure (the Canvas vendor) to help build a system that’s tailored to HSU’s specific needs.
