In response to overwhelming demand and evolving communication practices, ITS is changing the way caller ID is displayed when you call an off-campus number from an HSU phone.  

Currently, those calls all show the main HSU number as the callback number, which only gets the caller to the campus operator when they call back, with no indication of which extension the call came from. Our newly upgraded phone system enables us to have extension numbers show up in missed-call logs, so people don't need to listen to voicemail messages to get your callback number.

If you have safety concerns or a business reason to not want your extension to show up, please contact the Technology Help Desk at x4357 with your extension number and an alternative departmental extension number that you would like to be displayed on off-campus phones.
