Call for manuscripts for NMSU's "Border Walking Journal"

August 12, 2015
The Border Walking Journal is an online non-profit academic and research publication at New Mexico State University that focuses on broad educational issues with particular emphasis on the U.S./Mexico Borderlands. We invite submissions of manuscripts. We are particularly interested in treatments of issues around gender, racial, ethnic, cultural, linguistic, national, and transnational borders. A topic of particular interest to us is the shift from deficit-thinking to asset-thinking in considerations of border life.

We are interested in transdisciplinary efforts. Also, we welcome submissions in relation to the themes outlined that are based on quantitative and qualitative evidence, as well as critiques and other conceptual analyses. We are happy to consider contributions exemplifying the scholarship of discovery, teaching, engagement, or integration.

Manuscripts should be no longer than 25 pp., double-spaced and with one-inch margins, formatted according to APA editorial style. Manuscripts must be received by December 31, 2015, with an anticipated publication date of June 30, 2016.

Please Contact Gary Ivory (givory@ad.nmsu.edu) with any questions.
