manual below describes the use of Carl Zeiss' specialized Abbé-type
refractometer for the sugar industry. It was printed c. 1914.
The scan for this manual was made from a Xerox
copy. Unfortunately, the cover did not copy well, so it is not included. Other
than addresses of the Carl Zeiss company, the additional information on the cover,
but not included in the manual, is the Zeiss manual number at the bottom of the
cover, Reference: Mess 294.
