A broad spectrum of audio-video equipment is available for faculty use to present instructional materials. Media equipment is intended for the exclusive use of the faculty for the development and presentation of information to students in a classroom setting.
Type of equipment and the length of time it may be checked out is determined through user consultation with Media Distribution staff. Consideration is given to the user's specific need and competing demands for equipment availability.
Media equipment can be picked up by faculty at our Media Distribution office (Gist Hall 221) or delivered to secure locations throughout HSU campus if requested at least 24 hours in advance. Media Distribution does not do same day delivery.
Students, under direct supervision of faculty, may use media equipment providing they have filled out our Equipment Use Proxy form (this is a pdf form: fill-in, print, sign, and turn in at GH 221). A paper version is available at the Media Distribution office. Use forms must be filled out and signed by supervising faculty member and by student intending to use equipment before equipment can be checked out.
Arrangements for equipment use may be made at the Media Distribution office in Gist Hall or by calling 826-3166.
Media equipment may also be rented upon approval, depending on need and availability.
