International and Interdisciplinary Conference


Non-Fiction* Latin American Travel Literature by travelers to and from the Americas in homage to the distinguished traveler and scientist, Alexander von Humboldt.

(*Non-Fiction excludes novel, short story, poetry and theater)

Special emphasis will be on travel writing:
  1. Between Mexico and the U.S.A.
  2. Between Latin America and the U.S.A.
  3. Between Latin America and the rest of the World.

The conference will only allow for one presentation per participant.

Special Session: Present Day Writers of Travel Literature: this session will be reserved for authors who wish to read their own travel writing.
