Masters Desgree

Curriculum Plans

The two-year, Full-Time program curriculum plan is constructed with a foundation year curriculum of 30 semester units and an advanced year of 30 semester units. Content areas are integrated and develop greater specificity, breadth and depth over the two years. Students are expected to enter with preparation in the liberal arts as the curriculum is grounded and developed from a liberal arts foundation.

The Advanced Standing program is designed for students who graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited college or university. After completing two Summer courses, students join the advanced year curriculum.

A Part-Time (3.5 Years) Online MSW program is also available.  Students in the online program complete the same course of study as Full-Time students but do it over 3.5 years, including summer coursework. The online MSW program also includes a 1.5 unit Distributed Learning Community seminar. The classes are a combination of online courses and occasional on campus intensives beginning in January of the first semester and ending in May of the last semester.

A Part-Time (2 Years) Online Advanced Standing MSW program begins with Summer "bridge" courses. Students then join advanced year students in Fall.

Curriculum Plans for the above programs are listed below:
