The following policy outlines procedures and criteria for awarding Certificates of Achievement and Posthumous Degrees:
This memorandum is written in response to requests from the Chancellor's Office and from the local College community. It is a reminder that Jewish students will be observing September 27 and 28 (Rosh Hashana) and October 6 (Yom Kippur) as traditional religious holidays. No student should be penalized for absence from class during these three days.
The minutes of the Academic Council for December l, 1964 contain the following statement:

The Office for Academic Affairs is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Fred W. Hanes as College Librarian effective September 1, 1967. Mr. Hanes is eminently qualified to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Mrs.
