MAP-Works is Making Achievement Possible for students

August 30, 2013

Maximizing student success is HSU's number one priority and, to that end, the campus has adopted the MAP-Works software tool to alert faculty and other advisory staff as early as possible when students, particularly freshmen, may be experiencing problems that could derail a student's academic career. Through MAP-Works, we are able to gather information through student self-assessment surveys and other means, helping the student’s support network to understand individual study habits, extracurricular activities, financial issues, and other areas of life that can impact academic success. Use of this system in other universities around the US has proven that the earlier an intervention program can be initiated, the greater the chance the student can get back on track for a successful on-time graduation.
