Identifying, Responding to, and Referring Students Of Concern

The Division is pleased to host the following professional development workshop for the month of September. Note that the session is offered twice to accommodate the staffing of our offices.

Title: Identifying, Responding to, and Referring Students Of Concern 

Description: As a member of the Humboldt State University campus community, you are continually interacting with students. At times, you will have contact with students whose problems or behaviors will cause you concern, discomfort, or may interfere in the education of or services for other students. The difficulty is that most often, these types of situations do not go away. Join staff from the Counseling & Psychological Services Center, Dean of Students Office, and University Police for straightforward advice, techniques and suggestions on how to cope with, intervene, and assist troubled and/or difficult students.
