HSU's 1st Annual Hip Hop Conference for Change

January 29, 2014
Please help spread the word for HSU's 1st Annual Hip Hop Conference for Change: Remember, Resist, Recreate on March 27th and March 28th, 2014

This is an unofficial call for papers for students, faculty, and staff (presentations, posters, creative performances, etc) for Thursday, March 27th. The keynote is on March 28th from 5:30-7:00 in FH 118.

We are also planning a politically conscious rap performance following the keynote speaker, Dr. Halifu Osmare (see link below). The Black Student Union is sponsoring the event and we're super excited about it, so please join us for the conference and spread the word!

The Black Student Union will also be hosting "Poetry Is Not a Luxury" on Feb. 18th from 4:30-6:30 for Black Liberation Month in the Black Box Theatre (TA room 115). We invite spoken word poets and artists to read/showcase their pieces in honor of Black Liberation Month. Again, please join us and help support our students of color.
