This workshop is introduction to color monotype, the “painterly”
print.
We will be using oil-based inks that clean up with soap and
water, as well as water-soluble drawing materials, with the focus on
creating multi-layered color prints.
Students will explore additive and subtractive inking techniques, along with learning collage technique called chine collé.
No printmaking experience is required. Basic color theory and drawing knowledge is a plus.
This workshop is for beginning through advanced levels.

Screen Print Intensive
July 15-19 (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.)
Instructor: Marsha Shaw
This workshop will introduce you to the stencil printmaking method of screen printing. You will learn various image-making methods using paper stencils, monotype techniques, fluid techniques, screen filler, and direct-emulsion photographic stencils.
You'll work with color in multi-run editions using pinhole registration and become familiar with the mark-making possibilities of screen printing while expressing and expanding on your personal style.
No previous experience required.
