Adobe Photoshop &
Illustrator for Beginners

July 8-12 (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.)

This course will introduce new and novice users to Adobe Photoshop and the Mac OS.

Students will review digital capture -- either from digital cameras or from scans -- and learn to manipulate these images in Adobe Photoshop.

We will cover digital capture, resolution, basic digital manipulation, image correction, creative processes and file preparation for output.

Students will also be given an introduction to Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.     

Materials Needed: A digital camera, smart phone with sufficient camera technology, or prints to work from.

Dreamweaver & Web Design

July 15-19 (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.)

Instructor: Rick Febré

This workshop will introduce students to web design, both from a traditional html/css approach, and from a more modern CMS (content management system) approach. Students will learn to code using the html editor, Adobe Dreamweaver, construct simple websites. Later in the class, we will explore CMS-powered sites using WordPress. While this is a beginning class, working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is necessary.

Materials Needed: Students are invited to purchase domains and web on the last day of instruction, but are not required to do so.
